Initiation

Spent Pagan Soc debating the nature of initiation and what it means to you. Several people in Pagan Soc have had different experiences of initiation, we’ve got an ex-Coven guy, me with my self-initiation thing and a couple of people who were initiated into small groups.

Seems like we all ended up agreeing that initiation was the concious acknowledgement of a change in the state of self whether you had to prepare and work towards it or not. It was interesting though, finding out what different people regarded as their initiation into Wicca/witchcraft/magical workings of various sorts. I think though, that though I was initiated ten years ago now, there is a process of initiation that continues.

I somehow keep seeing my next step as climbing the faery steps. It’s the next bit for me. Not entirely sure why.
